How does the Madrid Explorer Pass work?

The Madrid Explorer Pass is very simple to use. When you make your booking, you’ll receive a digital version of the pass and instructions on how to use it via email. You can carry it on your phone or, if you prefer, print it out. You’ll also have the option to download the mobile app, details of which will be provided in your booking voucher. You’ll be able to access the full list of attractions, manage your bookings and, in short, have all the information you need to enjoy your pass at your fingertips.

How do I activate the pass?

You have one year from the date of purchase to activate your pass by using it for the first time at one of the included attractions. As this is a flexible pass, once you’ve activated it, you have 30 days to visit the number of attractions you’ve chosen.

What are the benefits of the pass?

The Madrid Explorer Pass is a flexible pass that will save you both time and money. You can choose between 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 attractions or tours, and you’ll have access to an extensive list of around 25 of the city’s most popular monuments and activities. You’ll save time by having all your tickets and information on your smartphone, and with this pass you’ll always save money compared to buying individual tickets separately.

Do some attractions require advance booking?

Some of the attractions you’ve chosen may require advance booking to guarantee your entry. To do this, simply check the information included in the instructions you’ll receive by email with your booking and follow a simple process.

Do children need a pass?

If you’re travelling with children, you’ll be pleased to know that children under 3 don’t need to buy a pass, as they get free entry to most attractions. Children aged 3 to 12 are entitled to an additional discount.
