  This Zaanse Schans day trip from Amsterdam was honestly one of the highlights of my stay. What made it truly special was our guide — not just knowledgeable, but a real local personality with strong connections to the people living in the village. Thanks to that, we got access to genuine local insights you simply wouldn’t experience on a standard tour. It never felt staged or rushed — quite the opposite. The whole experience was smooth, well-paced, and very personal. We didn’t feel like we were on a “tour” at all, but rather being shown around by someone who truly belongs there and loves sharing it. A very well-rounded and memorable experience — highly recommended.

  Almost perfect if only a half hour to a hour longer to enjoy the last stop in Delft. But still a really great trip!
