Experience Highlights

Discover one of Belgium’s most beautiful medieval cities with this day trip to Bruges from Amsterdam. You’ll travel by private coach to a city of canals, cobbled streets, historic façades and monumental squares, with plenty of time to explore its most iconic spots.

You can choose how you’d like to explore Bruges: independently with an online audio guide that includes routes, must-see sights and recommendations, or on a walking tour that takes in some of the main highlights of the historic centre.

What’s more, depending on the option you’ve booked, you can round off the day with a boat trip along the canals or a Belgian beer tasting – two different ways to get a feel for the city’s character.

  • Discover Bruges on your own or on a walking tour

  • Add a boat trip along the canals to see the city from the water

  • Round off the experience with a Belgian beer tasting, depending on the option you’ve chosen

What’s included

  • Excursion lasting approximately 12 hours
  • Return transport from Amsterdam by private coach
  • Accompaniment during the excursion
  • Walking tour of Bruges, depending on the booked option

Select date

Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your start time to ensure everything runs smoothly

Step by Step

The tour begins in Amsterdam, from where you’ll travel by private coach to Bruges. During the journey, you’ll be given an introduction to Belgium and various recommendations to help you make the most of your time once you arrive at your destination.

As you enter Bruges, you’ll find sights such as the Minnewater or Lake of Love, the Beguinage, the Church of Our Lady, Burg Square, the Markt and its famous belfry, as well as canals such as the Dijver and narrow streets that retain much of the city’s medieval charm.

If you choose the ‘At Your Own Pace’ option, you can explore Bruges on your own with the help of an online audio guide featuring must-see sights, suggested routes and recommendations. This way, you decide how much time to spend in each area, where to stop for a bite to eat, and which shops, chocolate shops and monuments you’d like to visit.

You can also choose an option that includes a walking tour of Bruges, designed to give you a better understanding of the city’s history whilst you explore its historic centre. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to continue exploring, visit a monument or simply stroll along the canals.

Depending on the option you choose, you can enhance your day with a 45-minute boat trip along the canals, allowing you to admire the façades and bridges from a different perspective, or with a Belgian beer tasting at a local pub. After your time in Bruges, you’ll return to Amsterdam on the same coach.

It was a really good trip when you have little time to visit Bruges. The guide and the driver were very helpful.

Very well organised tour with plenty of free time to explore. I would have liked it to be in a smaller group to be able to follow the guide better. I couldn't understand him much as we were a large group.

The trip to Bruges is worthwhile if you have a few days in Amsterdam. The guide provides a lot of historical information, as well as interesting anecdotes and very good suggestions on where to have lunch or buy chocolates, both in Bruges and Amsterdam.
