Step by Step

By joining this guided tour of about two hours you will get to know St. Peter's Basilica, the main church of Vatican City, and gain exclusive access to the dome area.

An expert guide will accompany you and reveal the legendary secrets of the holy see, where the pope offers his liturgies to the parishioners.

You will climb up to the terrace of the dome, a monumental 41-metre structure that will allow you to appreciate the city from an unparalleled perspective, with panoramic views of St. Peter's Square, the Vatican and much of Rome.

You will have the opportunity to appreciate the interior and exterior of this architectural marvel designed and built by famous artists such as Michelangelo and Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

One of Michelangelo's creations that stands out is the sculpture Pietà del Vaticano, in which the Virgin Mary holds Christ after his crucifixion.

Bernini's The Vision of Constantine, an equestrian sculpture from 1670 in honour of the Christian emperor, stands out in the right wing of the basilica's atrium.

You will also stroll through St. Peter's Square, where the Catholic faithful congregate every day among the 284 columns and 88 pilasters of the monument, known as the Colonnade, also by Bernini.

One of the most visited places in the world and rightly so, there is art everywhere, amazing sites, the crypt as an amazing historical site and the dome that allows you to see amazing views of Rome.

We went at Easter and the truth is that we had to wait a long time to get in. There were a lot of people, but it was worth it all the same. The dome is spectacular.
