Step by Step
Phoenix is Arizona's most populous city and lies in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. By purchasing a hot air balloon ride you can fly over it, admiring its wide open spaces, the silhouette of Camelback Mountain and the mountain range that borders the city.
The experience lasts approximately 4 hours and includes transfer to the take-off point, a 45-minute to 1-hour balloon flight, return to the meeting point and a celebration at the end with breakfast and a glass of champagne. You will fly standing up in a shared basket with a maximum of 14 people.
The flight takes place at several thousand feet above ground level, depending on the direction and speed of the wind. You will feel the serenity of the Phoenix landscape while being flown by an experienced pilot. It will be as close as you can get to floating in the air.
This balloon ride takes place at dawn to avoid the scorching temperatures of the day. The Sonoran Desert is located on the border between the United States of America and Mexico and highs reach the high 30s even in winter. The flight can be made at any time of the year and does not require any special precautions. However, it is advisable to bring
- Comfortable clothing, preferably in layers
- Closed shoes, preferably trainers
- Sunglasses and/or a cap with a visor to protect your eyes from UV rays.
- Sun protection
- Water, remember that it is best not to drink too many liquids before the flight
- Backpack or small bag
- Binoculars
During landing, the basket may shift sideways. Don't worry, this is perfectly normal. In any case, before take-off your guide will explain the characteristics of the means of transport and how to behave during the flight.
