Step by Step

The Turia Gardens are one of the most pleasant places to explore Valencia by bike. This vast green space occupies the river’s former course and runs through the city for around 10 kilometres, creating a virtually continuous setting of gardens, fountains, sports areas and leisure spaces.

During the route, you’ll cycle along this green corridor and pass under its 18 bridges, stopping at some of the most iconic ones. The guide will explain how this area has evolved to become one of the main meeting places for the people of Valencia.

The tour combines nature and architecture, allowing you to observe how the landscape changes as you make your way towards the city’s more modern quarter. The pace is designed to let you enjoy the ride whilst paying attention to the guide’s explanations and interesting facts.

The final part of the route leads to the City of Arts and Sciences, where you can admire the architectural complex comprising several buildings with a futuristic design. It is one of Valencia’s most recognisable landmarks and an excellent finishing point for the experience.

The activity includes both the services of an official guide and bike hire, so you don’t need to bring your own bike. Insurance against theft, loss and damage whilst using the bike is also included.

A recommended route, especially if you want to get around without walking too much. It was informative without being tedious, and the pace allowed us to enjoy the surroundings.

Valencia is a real joy to explore by bike. The Turia is peaceful and green, and gradually making my way to the City of Arts was my favourite part.

I’d never been on a cycle tour before and felt safe the whole time. The guide timed the breaks well and nobody was left behind.

I thought it was a very comprehensive activity for just two hours. Gardens, bridges, history and modern architecture all in one walk.
