Another of the fairs held in April in Mallorca is the Orange Fair. This festival is typical of the municipality of Sóller, which is located in the Tramuntana mountain range. It is one of the most beautiful villages on the island and I recommend you book an excursion to Sóller to get to know it in depth.

But if you go in April you will also be lucky enough to visit the Orange Fair, a gastronomic experience where most of the restaurants in the municipality prepare special menus with oranges as the star ingredient.

There are also competitions such as the Guinness World Record for the largest amount of orange juice squeezed by hand. You can also attend workshops and discover real relics at the craft market.

We begin our list in the municipality of Muro, where the famous Fira de Sant Francesc is held. This event dates back to the 18th century and is one of the best things to do with children in Mallorca. It is an agricultural fair in which all the local residents take part.

The fair is held in the area around the Convent of the Minims and the streets around this building are filled with stalls of all kinds, as well as concerts and all kinds of cultural events.

Muro is one of the oldest municipalities in Mallorca (it dates back to the Copper Age) and the whole fair revolves around agriculture, livestock and crafts, trades for which Muro has been known in the past.

Are you a foodie? You're in luck! You'll be delighted to know that one of the things to do in April in Mallorca is the Muestra de Cocina de Calviá. This gastronomic event is held in both April and November in the municipality of Calviá.

During the event, the restaurants that take part in the programme offer visitors full menus at reasonable prices. In this way, you will have the opportunity to taste delicious delicacies without leaving your pocket out of pocket.

Furthermore, if you are travelling to Majorca with children, you will be pleased to know that these restaurants also offer children's menus.

Andratx is one of the oldest villages in Mallorca. It is located in the south-western part of the island and belongs to the valleys of the Tramontana mountain range. The municipality is made up of 6 localities, all of them rich in stunning natural beauty.

Among its main tourist attractions are the Contemporary Art Centre of Sa Coma-Andratx and, of course, the Andratx Fair, which dates back to 1984.

This event is held every year on the first weekend of April, next to the Passeig de Son Mas. Here you can stroll around the different stalls selling typical island handicrafts and foodstuffs. There are also children's workshops, animal shows, musical performances and the Tapas Route.

5. Take a stroll around the Sa Pobla Opportunities Fair

The municipality of Sa Pobla, also known as La Puebla, is located in the Raiguer region. It is known for its agricultural character, with potato cultivation predominating. In fact, Sa Pobla is home to the most fertile land on the whole island.

Despite being a small town, Sa Pobla offers a great cultural offer, hiding treasures such as the Toy Museum or the Museum of Contemporary Art. In addition, its fun events, perfect for the whole family, stand out. Of all of them, today I would like to tell you about the Opportunities Fair.

The Sa Pobla Opportunities Fair is one of the best things to do in April in Mallorca. During this event, many shops in the municipality take to the streets in the form of stalls to offer their products at a much more affordable price.

6. Transport yourself to Seville at the April Fair in Pollença

Fancy experiencing Seville's great Feria de Abril but in Mallorca? As a sort of homage to the Andalusian capital, the municipality of Pollença celebrates its own Feria de Abril every year.

This part of the island is known for its wonderful coves and beaches with crystal clear waters and rocky areas surrounded by nature, the coast of Pollença becomes a paradise that looks like something out of a painting. And then there is the historic centre of this wonderful place, which is steeped in history.

It is in this dream setting that the Feria de Abril, a three-day festival, takes place. The event begins with a parade through the different streets of the region and ends at the fairgrounds, where there are musical performances, horse parades and, as a closing event, a rociera mass.

7. Give a book as a gift at Sant Jordi's Festival

Sant Jordi's Day is celebrated every year on 23 April, commemorating the death of Saint George, patron saint of Catalonia. Although this festival is better known in Catalonia, it is also very important in the popular culture of Mallorca.

It is a tradition that men give roses to their sweethearts, who in turn give them a book in return. Thus, it is a festival in which love and culture go hand in hand. On this day, the different town councils on the island organise activities, children's workshops and book signings.

However, this festival is even more important in Colonia de Sant Jordi, of which, as we are sure you are aware, Sant Jordi is the patron saint. Thus, in this area of Mallorca, the festivities extend over a week in which concerts, art competitions and exhibitions are held.

8. Savour Santanyí's gastronomic week

Santanyí is a village located in the southeast of the island. It is characterised by its medieval buildings made of golden sandstone, a stone that can only be quarried in the municipality.

Apart from its great cultural and scenic attractions, Santanyí is known for its gastronomic week. During these days, the local restaurants offer different menus in which they showcase their specialities.

9. Travel to the Prehistory and Antiquity Fair

Since 2017, the Artalaiòtica Prehistory and Antiquity Fair has been held in the municipality of Artá. In this event, the Greek, Talayotic, Roman and Punic cultures come together, recalling the historical past of the town.

In this way, the town council organises various activities for all audiences, which promote knowledge of the memory of Artá, preventing it from falling into oblivion. These activities include guided tours, plays, workshops and conferences.

You will also have the opportunity to browse the different craft stalls, as well as the food stalls. The latter sell delicacies typical of the different cultures that left their mark on Artá, and I encourage you to try the sheep's toast!
