Step by Step

The adventure starts at the Plaza del Conde de Casal. From there you'll depart in a comfortable minibus with your bilingual guide, embarking on a journey of about an hour through the Castilian plateau to the spectacular Hoz del Huécar. You'll admire the gorges carved by the river before ascending to the historic Barrio del Castillo, where you'll have a short break for a coffee or a walk to the toilet.

Afterwards, you will start a walking tour downhill through Cuenca's medieval quarter. You'll stroll along Calle Caballeros, the Plaza Mayor and cobbled streets until you reach the iconic Casas Colgadas, literally hanging over the cliff. There you will enter the Museum of Abstract Art, one of Spain's most important art collections of the 20th century, with works by Chillida, Tàpies, Oteiza and other great names.

You will then have an hour free for lunch in the Plaza Mayor (not included). You will be able to choose between typical bars and restaurants where you can taste the famous ** morteruelo**, ajoarriero or Cuenca's pastries.

After lunch, you can take an optional guided tour of the interior of the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de Gracia, the first Gothic cathedral in Castile, with its mixture of Romanesque and Baroque art, its mystical stained glass windows and chapels full of history.

Finally, you'll complete the tour by crossing the Eiffel-inspired St. Paul's Bridge, from where you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of the city before heading back to Madrid.
