Step by Step
This Edge of the World tour takes you to one of Saudi Arabia's most iconic and breathtaking landscapes: a chain of cliffs towering over a vast desert plain, creating the sensation of being on the edge of the planet. The day begins at a meeting point in Riyadh, where you will join the group and board an air-conditioned vehicle for the desert.
After leaving the city behind, the journey takes you along roads and tracks surrounded by dunes and rock formations. At the halfway point, you will experience a very traditional camel ride for a few minutes, ideal for taking photos and feeling the rhythm of the desert as it was done in the old days, before continuing on to the Rim of the World area.
Before reaching the great viewpoint, you will visit a bat cave known for its mysterious atmosphere and curious geological formation. With the guide's torch and explanations about the place, you will be able to walk through a part of the cave in safety and discover how it has become a refuge for the local fauna.
The central part of the tour is the hiking route to the Edge of the World, a walk accessible to most travellers, although it requires you to be comfortable walking on natural terrain. Once you reach the edge of the cliffs, you'll have time to enjoy the views, take photos and watch the sun change the colour of the rocks and desert as the sunset approaches.
Snacks, drinks and water are provided during the tour, and your guide will set the pace, organise the stops and comment on interesting facts about the area. After enjoying the scenery and atmosphere of the desert, you will return to the vehicle for the transfer back to Riyadh, bringing to a close a day full of nature, adventure and memorable panoramas.
