Step by Step

Discover the essence of Porto in an experience that combines wine, tradition and art. The guided tour of the Fonseca Winery starts at 18:00 and includes a complete tour of the cellars where some of the region's most renowned wines are aged.

An expert guide will accompany you in English and Portuguese to explain the history of the house, the origin of its vineyards in the Douro Valley and the sustainable practices that characterise the brand.

Throughout the tour, you will learn about the Port wine making process from the harvest at Quinta do Panascal to the ageing process in the cellars. You will also discover historic vintages, including Fonseca's first vintage in 1840, along with other declared vintages that have marked the last decades.

After the tour, comes one of the most awaited moments: a tasting of two of Fonseca's wines, including the elegant Bin 27 and the Siroco, a Port white with a lot of personality. For the children, the experience includes grape juice from the Douro Valley.

While you taste the wines, you can enjoy a live fado show, an iconic Portuguese music that accompanies this experience with an intimate and emotional atmosphere.
