Step by Step

This full-day tour from Rome allows you to discover some of the most spectacular landscapes in southern Italy without having to worry about the logistics. The adventure begins in Piazza del Popolo, in the heart of the city, where you’ll meet up with the group and your expert guide before boarding the private, air-conditioned coach that will take you to the Amalfi Coast.

As you leave the hustle and bustle of Rome behind, the journey takes you through the Italian countryside until you reach the coast. The first stop is usually a traditional limoncello shop, where you’ll learn about the history of this typical liqueur, see how it’s made from the region’s famous lemons and enjoy an included tasting. It’s the perfect introduction to the region’s Mediterranean character.

You’ll then continue your journey to Positano, one of the most iconic villages on the Amalfi Coast, with its colourful houses terraced above the sea. There, you’ll have some free time to wander the steep streets, take in the views from the lookouts, head down to the beach, browse the boutiques and craft shops, or simply sit on a terrace and enjoy the scenery. Your guide will offer advice and suggestions to help you make the most of your stop.

Afterwards, the tour continues to Sorrento, a vibrant and elegant town that combines history, sea views and a lively atmosphere. You’ll have a few hours of free time to stroll through the historic centre, pop into shops selling local produce, find a nice place to eat or have a coffee overlooking the Gulf of Naples. With your guide’s help, you’ll be able to find your way around easily and choose what to see based on your interests.

At the end of the day, you’ll return to the coach to set off back to Rome, with a short break en route if necessary. It’s an intense but very comprehensive experience, ideal for those who want to see the highlights of the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento in a single day, with the peace of mind that comes from travelling in a group and having everything organised.

A great day trip to see Positano and Sorrento in one day. I came back tired but happy, and on top of that we tasted limoncello and learned where it all comes from.

The meeting point was quite crowded and at first I was overwhelmed, but once you find the group, everything flows. I'll take Positano, it's crazy beautiful.

The coast is very beautiful, even the journey is enjoyable because you can see how the landscape changes. In Sorrento I found a café with a view and stayed there for a while.

The guide in Spanish was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour, although at times she spoke fast (maybe because of the weather). Even so, she was very good and answered questions without any problem.
