Naples Pizza Making Class

This activity consists of a pizza-making class in Naples. Over the course of approximately 3 hours, you’ll take part in an experience where you’ll make and taste your own culinary creation. Choose between a lunch or dinner workshop, make your pizza and enjoy the appetisers, dessert and soft drinks included.

To ensure the best possible experience, the activity will be limited to around 10 participants. Thanks to the advice and guidance of a master pizza chef, you will not only make your own pizza but also discover the full history behind one of the world’s most famous dishes.

Prepare the tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil and olive oil, and get stuck in. With just these ingredients, you’ll be able to create a dish that has delighted so many people all over the world. Once you’ve learnt how to make it, you’ll be able to surprise your family, friends or partner by preparing a truly delicious treat for them.

Pizza is one of the most widely consumed dishes in the world and originates from Naples, Italy. According to history, its origins date back to the 19th century, and until the mid-20th century, it was a dish exclusive to this city. Although it can be made with very few ingredients, the Neapolitans insist that there are only two true types of pizza: the ‘marinara’ and the ‘margherita’.

An interesting fact is that there is an official certification for Neapolitan pizza, established in 1984. This is awarded to establishments or restaurants that make pizza according to traditional artisanal methods, whilst also meeting a series of other requirements. Only a few hundred restaurants in Italy hold this certification.
