Step by Step
Let yourself be swept away to what is known as the ‘Garden of France’ and discover a landscape dotted with castles, forests and elegant gardens. This excursion from Paris allows you to explore three of the most iconic monuments of the Loire Valley without having to organise transport or tickets separately.
One of the highlights of the day will be the Château de Chambord, an imposing Renaissance structure renowned for its monumental silhouette, its numerous towers and its famous double-helix staircase. Its architecture reflects the ambition of Francis I and makes it one of France’s most recognisable castles.
You’ll also visit Chenonceau Castle, built over the River Cher and closely linked to several women who shaped its history. Its elegant galleries over the water, its ornately decorated rooms and its gardens create one of the most romantic scenes in the Loire Valley.
The tour is rounded off with a visit to Cheverny Castle, renowned for its carefully preserved interiors, furnishings and gardens. Between visits, you’ll have free time to have lunch at your own expense and enjoy the surroundings before continuing the itinerary.
When booking, you can choose from three ways to explore the châteaux. The guided option includes commentary from a qualified guide during the tours. The audio-guide option allows you to access commentary via a web app using a QR code, whilst the self-guided option offers you greater freedom to explore the grounds without a guide or audio-guide.
Reviews
- GG.Some castles on their own do not offer information in English, so it is important to hire a guide like this one to tell you the most relevant facts.
- CC.If your children like castles, this is the ideal tour for them. They will feel like they are in a fairytale as they will see different attractions, all of them very well preserved.
- JJ. F.Everything was very organised and nice. You definitely need the whole day to visit it as there are several places.
- GG.A full package visit. Excellent all round.
