Step by Step

With these tickets to Ballarat Wildlife Park, you can spend the day discovering a wide variety of native Australian animals and exotic species at one of Victoria’s best-known wildlife parks. The park has a family-friendly atmosphere and allows you to get up close to iconic animals such as koalas, kangaroos, wombats, crocodiles and dingoes, as well as species such as tigers, penguins, meerkats and Tasmanian devils.

One of the main highlights of the visit is the presentations organised by the keepers. Throughout the day, you can attend sessions dedicated to meerkats, penguins, dingoes, reptiles, tigers and Tasmanian devils, whilst learning more about their behaviour and the conservation work carried out by the park.

At weekends, on public holidays and during Victoria’s school holidays, the programme is expanded to include additional activities, such as a talk on tigers in the morning and a crocodile presentation in the afternoon. This allows you to plan your visit at your own pace and combine a stroll through the park with various educational sessions throughout the day.

Your ticket allows you to stay on the premises throughout the day and also gives you access to facilities such as the gift shop and the café. If you’d like an even more up-close experience, the park offers special encounters with certain animals, although these incur an additional charge and require booking.

The talks are interesting, but it’s best to keep an eye on the timetable so as not to miss them. We arrived late for one of them.

The presentations are easy to follow and provide useful information. I liked that they also talked about conservation.
