Step by Step

If you're looking for a good time and a good laugh while learning about Chicago's history, this tour of the city's ugly buildings could be just the thing. Along with a local guide who will accompany you on the approximately two-hour tour, you'll learn why the buildings selected for the experience were built the way they were.

The tour can be done in groups of about 15 people, where the guide will tell you in a fun way about the architectural plan of these famous buildings that reign in the city of Chicago.

During the tour you will only see the exterior of the buildings selected by the guide, such as Marina City, a complex of buildings with 65-storey towers that look like corn cobs, or Trump Tower, a skyscraper in the heart of Chicago named after Donald Trump. In fact, the former US president said in 2001 that the skyscraper would become the tallest building in the world, but after the 9/11 attacks, the plan was changed.

During the activity you will hear several stories and jokes about these architectural pieces, so we recommend that you take it with humour.

Also, this tour will take place despite adverse weather conditions, so we suggest you wear appropriate clothing.
